51s top Redbirds in 11 innings

Kyle Phillips led off the top of the 11th inning with a home run as the 51s beat the Memphis Redbirds 4-3 in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday in Memphis, Tenn.
Las Vegas reliever Jonah Bayliss worked out of a one-out, two-on jam in the bottom of the inning to gain his first save of the season.
The game was scoreless through nine innings. Jason Lane then hit a two-out, three-run homer in the top of the 10th for the 51s (12-21).
The Redbirds (18-13) rallied for three runs on five hits in the bottom of the inning to tie the game and send it into the 11th.
Jeremy Accardo (1-0) got the win for the 51s after blowing a save opportunity in the bottom of the 10th. Las Vegas starter David Purcey threw eight shutout innings, scattering three hits and striking out seven.
