Aces pitchers shut down 51s

The Reno bullpen finished off the 51s on Tuesday after a solid start by Tony Barnette as the host Aces scored a 4-2 Pacific Coast League victory.

Barnette (5-6) gave up two runs on six hits and a walk over 6 1/3 innings, striking out six. Three relievers combined to limit Las Vegas (26-40) to one hit the rest of the way.

David Dellucci and Aaron Mathews each went 2-for-4 for the 51s, and Angel Sanchez hit a solo homer.

Ed Rogers drove in two runs for Reno (31-35), including an RBI single in its three-run sixth inning.

Las Vegas' Fabio Castro (3-2) gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.
