• SERIES NOTES: The 51s will play 17 of their next 21 games at home, where they're 30-25 this season. Las Vegas, which leads the Pacific Coast League in batting with a .292 average, has gone 52-43 since its 6-18 start. ... The Isotopes have the PCL's second-best record and feature a plethora of former 51s players, including Mitch Jones, Tony Abreu, Blake DeWitt, A.J. Ellis, Chin-lung Hu, Luis Maza and Jason Repko. Albuquerque is in its first season as the top affiliate for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who were affiliated with Las Vegas the past eight years. ... Jones is batting .286, leads the PCL in home runs with 28 and has 77 RBIs. ... The Isotopes also feature former 51s first baseman Brett Harper, who was released by Las Vegas on July 13. Harper, who hit .274 with 15 homers and 55 RBIs in 79 games for the 51s, is batting .378 with four homers and 16 RBIs in 22 games for Albuquerque. ... Las Vegas first baseman Randy Ruiz was promoted to the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, and the Bronx, N.Y., native promptly homered in each of his first two games at Yankee Stadium. Ruiz was batting .320 for the 51s with 25 homers and was leading the PCL in RBIs (106), doubles (43) and hits (148). ... Las Vegas will host the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, from Tuesday through Aug. 21.
