Arencibia HR sends 51s past Rainiers

J.P. Arencibia belted a two-out, three-run homer in the eighth inning, lifting the 51s to a 5-3 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers on Tuesday in a Pacific Coast League game at Tacoma, Wash.

Las Vegas trailed 3-2 entering the eighth, and after a Jonathan Diaz ground-out, Brett Wallace got hit by a pitch. Brian Dopirak then singled, Chris Lubanski struck out, and Arencibia hit his blast over the right-field wall.

Wallace had an RBI single in the first inning for the 51s, and Diaz scored on a wild pitch in the third to make the score 2-0. Chris Woodward quickly tied the score in the bottom of the third with a two-run shot, and Ramon Vazquez put Tacoma up with a seventh-inning RBI single.
