The senior boys volleyball player had 28 kills in a 3-2 win over defending state champion Shadow Ridge, then made the all-tournament team at the La Jolla (Calif.) Invitational, leading the Bulldogs to a third-place finish.

The distance runner won the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs at the Richard Lewis Invitational. Dean posted a time of 2 minutes, 29.35 seconds in the 800, finished the 1,600 in 5:28.57 and won the 3,200 in 11:59.06.
