Matt Reynolds hit a go-ahead three run homer, and Alex Castellanos added a two-run shot to help the 51s top the Sacramento River Cats 7-4 in a Pacific Coast League game Thursday night in West Sacramento, Calif.
Reynolds’ blast put Las Vegas (4-4) up 4-2 in the sixth inning, and Castellanos’ shot made the score 7-2 in the eighth.
The 51s opened the scoring on an errant pickoff throw in the third inning, but Adam Duvall’s third homer of the season, a two-run shot in the fourth, gave the River Cats (5-3) a 2-1 lead.
Duvall’s throwing error on a seventh-inning bunt brought home Las Vegas’ fifth run.
51s starter Darin Gorski (2-0) gave up two runs on five hits and one walk and struck out three in five innings. Hansel Robles struck out four in 1 2/3 innings of shutout relief.
Reynolds, Castellanos, Dilson Herrera and Darrell Ceciliani each had two of Las Vegas’ 10 hits.
Andrew Susac, Darren Ford and Travis Ishikawa each had two of Sacramento’s 10 hits, with Susac driving in a run with an eighth-inning single.
River Cats starter Ty Blach (0-1) was charged with five runs, three earned, on eight hits and no walks in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out three.
