Babbitt leads UNR over Hawaii, 66-60
RENO -- Luke Babbitt scored 20 points, and UNR held off Hawaii 66-60 in a Western Athletic Conference game Saturday.
Brandon Fields and Joey Shaw supplied 11 points each as the Wolf Pack (13-8, 5-3) raised its home record to 10-1.
UNR pulled away by making six consecutive free throws in the final 37.5 seconds.
Hawaii (9-13, 2-7) was led by Roderick Flemings with 17 points. His layup with four minutes to play tied the score at 56.
The Wolf Pack scored the first 10 points of the game, but Hawaii closed the half with a 12-0 run to force a 28-28 tie.
