WAC basketball tournaments open today at Orleans Arena
The Western Athletic Conference men’s and women’s basketball tournaments open today at Orleans Arena.
In the men’s bracket, No. 7 seed Texas State (10-21) plays No. 10 seed Seattle (8-21) at 6 p.m., and eighth-seeded San Jose State (9-19) takes on No. 9 Texas-San Antonio (8-21) at 8:30 p.m. in the opening round. The quarterfinals begin Thursday at noon.
The women’s tournament begins at noon with seventh-seeded Denver (13-16) meeting No. 10 Texas State (10-19) followed by No. 8 New Mexico State (14-15) against Texas-Arlington (7-22) at 2:30 p.m.
The championship games are scheduled for noon (women’s) and 8 p.m. (men’s) on Saturday.
