Bees throttle Castro, 51s

Salt Lake batters roughed up 51s starter Fabio Castro, scoring eight runs on eight hits in the first inning, en route to an 8-3 Pacific Coast League victory Saturday night in Salt Lake City.
Castro (6-6) couldn't escape the first inning, retiring two Bees batters, before being replaced. And the 51s couldn't overcome the deficit, managing only two runs in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly and a single by Howie Clark, and one in the ninth on a home run by Aaron Mathews.
Freddy Sandoval went 4-for-5 and drove in two runs for Salt Lake, and Chris Petit had two hits and two RBIs.
Bradley Salmon (5-4) worked seven innings for the victory.
