By Richard Eng

Post Time 1 p.m.

Race 1 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $54,000, Maiden special weights, 4-year-olds and up

2 Brace Yourselves - Ran way too well to lose in last; if he repeats that race, it'll take something else to beat him.

4 Sacred Oath - Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry; this is the longer odds horse plus Martin Garcia is overdue to win.

Long Shot - 1 Ranchero

Race 2 - 6 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

2 Sleep Tight - Has never run on dirt, but she should handle the stuff; tons of back class and fast races on her resume.

6 Ashee - Jeff Mullins barn is starting to heat up; sliding down the claiming ladder to this career-low class level.

Long Shot - 4 Our Bellini Bikini

Race 3 - 1 1/4 miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $56,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up

4 Tiz Argent - Was flattered when Sporting Art won next time out; John Sadler adding blinkers on, keeps Garrett Gomez too.

1 Control Seeker - Claimed by Mike Mitchell, always a good thing; saves all the ground and is adding blinkers on also.

Long Shot - 6 Yodelen Dan

Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $33,000, Maiden claiming $75,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

4 Pink Blanket - FTS from Mark Glatt has been working fast and gets Rafael Bejarano; watch the tote board for clues.

1 Queenofcalifornia - Did a classic pop-and-stop in debut at Del Mar; took betting and faces an easier task tonight.

Long Shot - 7 Brooklyn Rose

Race 5 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $38,000, Claiming $40,000, Fillies, 4-year-olds

2 Hot Citizen - Taking a small, but important drop in class; suspect Joel Rosario will take back and make one brush.

5 Five Silver Stars - Rafael Bejarano had choices and opted to ride here for the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer.

Long Shot - 4 Siberian Heart

Race 6 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

6 Forty Dates - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career-low level; most races on his resume are fast enough to win.

4 Cato Major - Claimed by Mark Glatt and dropped further in class; big rider switch to Joe Talamo for the money shot.

Long Shot - 8 Ann's Seven

Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $68,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up

4 Dilemma - Dead-late closer figures to lead the calvary charge to the wire; better off as a 1-turn closing sprinter.

7 Regally Ready - Like the parking lot post down the hillside turf course; will try and get even with the chalk.

Long Shot - 5 Gallant Son

Race 8 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up

4 Papa Terry - Been away 15 months, but it's that kind of race; hot trainer Bobby Troeger hires hot-riding Rafael Bejarano.

5 Breakmark - This speedball is overdue to win, especially in a no-passing-zone field like this; P Val provides the target.

Long Shot - 2 Johnnie Gold

Best Bet - 2 Hot Citizen (race 5)

Santa Anita Park Thursday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 13/3/$13.40; Long Shots, 8/1/$9.20; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
