4 Relentless Heat - Even effort last time but certainly facing no killers tonight; tactical speed to sit close to a modest pace.
Long Shot - 1 Jackson Sundown
Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
7 Courageous Call - Super hot Tyler Baze continues to hold all the cards; has a cozy outside post to stalk the early pace.
1 Sharkeitupbetty - Dead late closer will save all the ground while sitting in arrears; Kent Desormeaux can pick his spot to rally.
Long Shot - 6 Pica
Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
4 Moscato Girl - Second start off the claim by Bill Spawr; his stable rider Agapito Delgadillo hurt his rotator cuff and is out for now.
8 J and S Express - Flew late from the clouds to upset last time; has enough back class to repeat that nice performance.

Race 4 - 1 1/8th miles (turf), $75,000 La Puente, 3-year-olds
2 Papacoolpapacool - Has found his mojo since moving to the barn of Philip D’Amato; the Mike Mitchell protege I’m sure has a heavy heart.
1 Anytime Anyplace - Kent Desormeaux has a chance to save all the ground; that is a tactic never lost in grass racing.
Long Shot - 4 Hero Ten All
Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $32,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds
3 Believe Too - Richard Baltas uses Felipe Valdez has his second string rider behind Rafael Bejarano; picks up some good mounts.
9 English Art - Flavien Prat is another jockey who has made a favorable impression; rides this live one for Bobby Wayne Grayson.

3 War Destiny - Faltered badly on the turf in last; his dirt races are much stronger so we like the return to the preferred surface.
9 Alamo - Returns today as a first time gelding; it’s that man Flavien Prat riding for Richard Mandella, solid record together.

Race 7 - 1 1/4 miles, $150,000 Santa Barbara Handicap, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
6 Diversy Harbor - Ran flat last time as a beaten favorite in the Santa Ana; filly can do that if they are horsing, can rebound here.
1 Three Hearts - Saving ground on the rail never goes out of style; Tyler Baze can take his time and find a seam to rally in the stretch.
Long Shot - 3 Fanticola

3 Secret Appeal - Shows improving speed figures since claimed by Jorge Periban; drops in class off a strong second last time out.
6 Grey Girl Gone - Takes the blinkers off after a pop and stop effort in last; she is better than that and should hold her speed better.
