Bowman, Valdez team up to lead Basic in boys soccer

Daniel Bowman and Roberto Valdez each scored two goals as Basic earned a 4-2 road win over Green Valley on Tuesday.

Sean Henderson and Brenden Regen each scored a goal for Green Valley.

At Centennial, Mike Farbridge-Currie had two goals and two assists, and Kevin Rogge and Dustin Westover each scored two goals as the Bulldogs blanked Shadow Ridge 9-0.

Christian Gering, Matt Kurtz and Jake Swanson each had a goal and an assist for Centennial, and Joe Mikulich had three assists. Goalie Chey McDonald recorded the shutout.

At Cimarron-Memorial, Cheyenne's Geovany Martinez scored two goals, and Frank Barnes added one goal as the Desert Shields defeated the Spartans, 3-1.

B.J. Carrera scored Cimarron's goal.

At Foothill, Carlos Dominguez had two goals to lead Coronado to a 7-2 win.

Max Gunderson, Austin Hartline, Jacob LeClare, Bryan Sandoval and Adrian Villarreal also scored for Coronado.

Mitch Alford and Eric England had Foothill's goals.

At Liberty, Gustavo Linares scored three goals, and Angel Savila and Damien Lujan each added two goals to lead Del Sol past the Patriots, 8-0.

Mario Ovalle added a goal, and Evan Fast earned the shutout.

At Mojave, Gerardo Acero scored two goals and Oscar Ramirez, Cesar Angulo and Justin Hanselman each added one goal to lead Legacy past the Rattlers, 5-1.

Luis Guittierez scored the goal for Mojave.

At Palo Verde, the Panthers and the Aggies played to a 0-0 tie.

Arbor View's Forrest Homerding and Palo Verde's Eric Garcia had the shutouts.

At Tech, Silverado's Esau Salazar scored the lone goal in the second half, and Joey Mora earned the shutout as the Skyhawks defeated the Roadrunners, 1-0.

At Mesquite, Ryan Sniezyk scored four goals as Faith Lutheran defeated Virgin Valley, 8-0.

Jim Sullivan, Trent Unruh, Chris Ortwein and Mike Amico scored the other goals, and goalie Tanner Cavanaugh recorded the shutout.

GIRLS

At Mesquite, Hannah Stevens scored two goals as Faith Lutheran beat Virgin Valley, 4-2.

Sydney Spoon and Stephanie Meyer each added a goal for the Crusaders. Courtney Spawn and Kim Martinez each scored a goal for the Bulldogs.
