Bayless named referee for Mayweather-Berto fight

Kenny Bayless of Las Vegas was selected Thursday by the Nevada Athletic Commission to referee the Sept. 12 world welterweight title fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Andre Berto at the MGM Grand Garden. It will be Bayless' third consecutive Mayweather fight and the fourth in his past five.
Selected as judges were Dave Moretti and Adalaide Byrd of Las Vegas and Steve Weisfeld of New York. Moretti will be judging a Mayweather fight for the fifth straight time, Byrd last judged a Mayweather bout in September 2011, and Weisfeld will be judging a Mayweather fight for the first time.
