Travis Buck hit a go-ahead home run in the seventh inning and a sacrifice fly in the eighth Saturday night to power the Sacramento River Cats to a 4-1 victory over the 51s in a Pacific Coast League game in West Sacramento, Calif.
Buck broke a 1-1 tie with a leadoff shot on a 3-and-1 pitch from 51s starter Marc Rzepczynski (5-4), who gave up two runs on five hits and three walks in 6 2/3 innings. He struck out six.
Mike Jacobs, playing his second game for Las Vegas after the Toronto Blue Jays acquired him in a trade Friday with the New York Mets, went 2-for-3 and drove in the 51s' run with a two-out single in the fifth.
Fernando Hernandez (3-6) got the win for the River Cats (60-48) by pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief of starter Tyson Ross, who held the 51s (51-57) to one run despite giving up four hits and three walks and hitting three batters in 4 2/3 innings.
Aaron Mathews went 3-for-4 for Las Vegas, which left 11 runners on base.
