Buford, No. 6 Buckeyes top Minnesota
MINNEAPOLIS -- William Buford scored 24 points to spark No. 6 Ohio State, and Jared Sullinger backed him up inside with 23 points and eight rebounds Tuesday in a 78-68 victory over Minnesota that moved the Buckeyes a half-game ahead of Michigan State in the Big Ten standings.
Buford also had eight rebounds and five assists for the Buckeyes (22-4, 10-3), who snapped back after a humbling home loss to the Spartans.
The Buckeyes pulled away with a 20-0 run in the first half to build a 21-point lead.
Rodney Williams had 21 points, nine rebounds and two blocks for the Gophers (17-9, 5-8).

VIRGINIA TUMBLES -- At Clemson, S.C., Andre Young and Tanner Smith scored 13 points each, and Clemson held No. 22 Virginia to its second-lowest point total this season in a 60-48 victory.
The Tigers (13-12, 5-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) handed the Cavaliers (19-6, 6-5) their second straight loss.
WOLF PACK ROLL -- At Reno, Olek Czyz scored 16 points, and UNR (22-4) erased a six-point second-half deficit with a 13-2 run on the way to a 61-47 victory over Cal State Bakersfield (13-14).
