Clark tops Spring Valley in boys volleyball

Carlos DeSantis had seven kills and four blocks Thursday to lead Clark's boys volleyball team to a 17-25, 25-13, 26-24, 26-24 win at Spring Valley.

Vita Beltman added five kills and five blocks and Richard Zhao four kills and two blocks for the Chargers.

Erick James had 14 kills and Jayvin Garcia 14 assists and four kills to lead the Grizzlies.

Durango 3, Western 0 -- At Western, Darren Torrie led Durango with 19 assists and four kills in a 25-22, 25-20, 25-23 win over the Warriors.

Velmin Husic added eight kills for the Trailblazers.

Sierra Vista 3, Bonanza 0 -- At Bonanza, Brent Waldron had 10 kills to lead Sierra Vista to a 25-20, 26-24, 25-17 win over the Bengals.

Marvi Sanchez added seven kills, six blocks and three aces and Zach Waldron 35 assists for the Lions.

Dallin Hyer had nine kills and six blocks and Jake Thuet 20 digs for Bonanza.

Las Vegas 3, Chaparral 0 -- At Chaparral, Jonathan Dugan had nine kills, eight digs and four aces to help Las Vegas to a 25-10, 25-12, 25-13 win over the Cowboys.

Danny Farias added 16 assists and four aces and Jordan Hamilton five kills and three blocks for the Wildcats.

Carlos Chandia had 10 assists for Chaparral.

Desert Pines 3, Valley 1 -- At Valley, Charlie Smith's 11 kills helped Desert Pines to a 25-17, 22-25, 25-11, 25-19 victory over the Vikings.

Jose De La Cruz had 19 assists and Albert Villanueva eight blocks for the Jaguars.

Jimmy Videaux had 18 assists, eight blocks and three kills and Bryce Hutchinson nine kills for Valley.

Canyon Springs 3, Eldorado 0 -- At Canyon Springs, Ray Estevez had 25 assists and Kapahu Kahalepo nine kills and three aces to lead the Pioneers to a 25-9, 25-8, 25-12 win over Eldorado.
