Las Vegas Adult Baseball
Las Vegas Adult Baseball will be holding it’s first open tryout for the 2011 Spring season on Jan. 16.
The tryout will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cheyenne High School.
Interested baseball players 18 years of age or older are encouraged to attend.
Attendees wishing to tryout should plan on arriving early to complete league paperwork and to warm up.

Rocky Mountain School of Baseball
The Rocky Mountain School of Baseball will hold its annual Winter Ball Camp from Jan. 15 through 17 in Mesquite.
The camp is for individual players between 7 and 18. Players will be divided into teams by grade.
The camp staff will include professional and college coaches and players.

Big League Dreams Softball And Soccer
The new sports park is forming softball and indoor soccer leagues at its location on the east side of Freedom Park.
Teams pay $100 per team, plus $25 per player, which includes regular season, postseason, softballs and umpires.
The facility is also registering indoor soccer teams. The cost is $100 per team, plus $25 per player, which includes nine games, playoffs and referees.

BASKETBALL
Hollywood Recreation Center
Youth Winter Basketball Leagues
Registration is open through Friday, Jan. 7 for Hollywood Recreation Center’s Winter 2011 Youth Basketball League, which is set to begin play on Monday, Jan. 10.
Players ages 6 to 8 will participate in one league with ages 9 to 11 in a separate league.
All league events take place at the Hollywood Recreation Center, 1650 Hollywood Blvd. near Las Vegas High School.
The fee to participate in the youth basketball league is $55 and includes all referee and coaching fees.
A mandatory parent orientation and player skills test will take place on Friday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. for ages 6 to 8 and 7 p.m. for ages 9 to 11. Parents are required to sign a parent code of conduct prior to their child’s participation in the league.

Southern Nevada Basketball Association
The SNBA is accepting registrations for its upcoming adult basketball leagues.
The leagues are open to men, women, and high school-aged players.
You may register as an individual or as part of a team.
There are morning leagues on Saturdays and evening leagues on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Leagues are starting now and registration is ongoing.
