BASKETBALL
Hollywood Recreation Center
Registration is currently underway at Hollywood Recreation Center for its Spring 2011 Youth Basketball League beginning April 1.
Players ages 6 to 8 will participate in one league with ages 9 to 11 in a separate league. All league events take place at the Hollywood Recreation Center, 1650 Hollywood Blvd. near Las Vegas High School. The fee to participate in the youth basketball league is $55 and includes all referee and coaching fees.
The youth leagues foster teamwork, sportsmanship, safety, fair play and fun in a positive sporting environment. Players are given the opportunity to learn and build upon the basic skills of basketball while having fun in a relaxed but competitive atmosphere. A mandatory parent orientation and player skills evaluation will take place at 6 p.m. on April 1 for ages 6 to 8 and 7 p.m. for ages 9 to 11. Parents are required to sign a parent code of conduct prior to their child’s participation in the league.

Southern Nevada Basketball Association
The SNBA is accepting registrations for its upcoming adult basketball leagues.
The leagues are open to men, women, and high school-aged players.
You may register as an individual or as part of a team.
There are morning leagues on Saturdays and evening leagues on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Leagues are starting now and registration is ongoing.

Tarkanian Basketball Academy Open Gym
The facility is open for pickup games from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each weekday.
The cost for entry into the gym is $5.

The league is an adult tackle football league that plays games at Fountain Park.

Big League Dreams Softball And Soccer
The new sports park is forming softball and indoor soccer leagues at its location on the east side of Freedom Park.
Teams pay $100 per team, plus $25 per player, which includes regular season, postseason, softballs and umpires.
The facility is also registering indoor soccer teams. The cost is $100 per team, plus $25 per player, which includes nine games, playoffs and referees.

TENNIS
Youth Tennis Signups
The Nevada Tennis Association will hold a registration event for all spring and summer youth tennis programs from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 25 at Darling Tennis Center.
The signup drive will be held in conjunction with the United States Tennis Association’s national youth registration initiative.
The event will serve as an “opening day” for parents to sign up kids for spring and summer programs, including 10 and under tennis and USTA Jr. Team Tennis.
TRACK AND FIELD
Southwest Stallions
The youth track and field club is looking for participants to join its cross country team.
Runners should be between 11 and 18 years old.
Practices are held at 6 p.m. at Desert Breeze Park on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
