Decarlo’s double big hit for Lions

Sierra Vista's David Decarlo broke a 7-all tie with a two-run double in the fifth inning, and the Lions held on to beat visiting Bonanza 9-8 on Friday.

Andrew Garcia was 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs and three RBIs for Sierra Vista. Garcia also relieved in the sixth and picked up a save.

Chasen Shreve was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs for the Bengals.

Las Vegas 10, Chaparral 3 -- At Las Vegas, Marvin Campbell went 3-for-3, including a solo home run, as the Wildcats downed the Cowboys.

Wes Grass had two triples and two RBIs for Las Vegas.

Chaparral's Ricky Perez hit a two-run home run.

Cimarron-Memorial 4, Silverado 3 -- At Cimarron, Taylor Doyle had a triple, a double and an RBI to help the Spartans edge the Skyhawks.

Braden Keathley hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning for Silverado.

Spring Valley 17, Clark 7 -- At Clark, Billy Bob Ward was 2-for-2 with three RBIs to lead the Grizzlies over the Chargers.

Spring Valley's Cody Collins had two doubles, two RBIs and three runs, and Cameron Brooks was 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and three runs.

Clark's James Breen went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Valley 11, Desert Pines 3 -- At Desert Pines, Dayan Oses and Jesse Acosta each went 2-for-5 with two RBIs to lead the Vikings over the Jaguars.

Eric Herring went 2-for-3 for Valley.

Arbor View 7, Liberty 1 -- At Arbor View, Josh Arnold went 2-for-2 with four runs and two RBIs and Brooks Robinson was 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Aggies past the Patriots.

Chad Cole went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Derek Fuss struck out seven over 5 2/3 innings for Arbor View.

Durango 18, Western 3 -- At Western, Jayson McClaren went 4-for-4 with four runs and three RBIs and Matt Grinsik was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs as the Trailblazers defeated the Warriors in five innings.

Niko Vasquez homered for Durango.

Canyon Springs 16, Eldorado 5 -- At Eldorado, Josh Dahilig went 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and four runs to lead the Pioneers over the Sundevils in six innings.

John Roberts also had two doubles and two RBIs, and Tony Holmes went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Bishop Gorman 14, Coronado 9 -- At Coronado, winning pitcher Jeff Malm went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to help Bishop Gorman beat the Cougars.

John Rickard was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and four RBIs for the Gaels.

Josh Bryan had three doubles and a run for Coronado.

Basic 9, Rancho 4 -- At Basic, Mike Feher had a double and three RBIs and pitched three scoreless innings in relief to lead the Wolves.

Darren Parke and Brett Wellman each drove in two runs for Basic, which used a four-run fourth to break a 3-all tie.

Faith Lutheran 6-15, Moapa Valley 0-5 -- At Faith Lutheran, Terry Unruh pitched a one-hit shutout in the opener as the Crusaders swept the Pirates.

Unruh struck out 11 and allowed only a fourth-inning single. He also went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and two RBIs. Tyler Iodence was 2-for-3 with a triple, a run and an RBI.

In the second game, Christian Lopez was 4-for-4 with a double, three runs and an RBI to lead Faith Lutheran. Iodence was 3-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs, and Cameron Zachary was 3-for-4.

Calvary Chapel 16, Lake Mead 6 -- At Calvary Chapel, Cory Welch hit two home runs and drove in four runs to help the Lions defeat Lake Mead.

Cameron Harper was 3-for-4 with three doubles and four RBIs for Calvary Chapel, and Zack Vergiels was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Phillip Nix was 3-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs for Lake Mead.

Mountain View 14-13, Henderson International 10-3 -- At Henderson International, the Saints compiled 26 hits to sweep the doubleheader.

Brandon Carr was 3-for-4 with four RBIs in the first game as the Saints rallied for four seventh-inning runs.

Evan Entler was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs for Mountain View in the second game.
