Durango clamps down in win

Durango used an 18-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter Tuesday to secure a 72-53 home win over Bonanza.

Lindy La Rocque had 38 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trailblazers, who led 50-44 entering the fourth quarter. The Bengals didn't score for the first seven minutes of the final period.

Mia Bell added 20 points and Kristen Gaines had 11 rebounds for Durango.

Alice Pitts and Asta Galaviz each had 10 points for Bonanza.

Rancho 71, Chaparral 51 -- At Chaparral, Khalia Branch had 25 points and Shayna Porter-Banks 24 as the Rams downed the Cowboys.

Amanda Mayes had 23 points for Chaparral.

Valley 50, Canyon Springs 38 -- At Canyon Springs, Vanessa Corona had 28 points to lead the Vikings over the Pioneers.

Daryl Coleman had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Canyon Springs.

Desert Pines 56, Las Vegas 39 -- At Las Vegas, Andrea Jefferson had 15 points and Ashley Flemming 12 to lead the Jaguars past the Wildcats.

Amber Kelly led Las Vegas with 14 points.

Western 57, Spring Valley 48 -- At Spring Valley, Melanie Russell had 18 points to lead the Warriors past the Grizzlies.

Mekiala Simmons had 16 points for Western. Tierra Newman scored 16 for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 79, Clark 19 -- At Gorman, Darriel Gaynor scored 22 points as the Gaels rolled over the Chargers.

Dannielle Diamant added 14 points and Ashley Gayle 10 for Gorman, which outscored Clark 29-0 in the third quarter.

Pahrump Valley 72, Boulder City 25 -- At Boulder City, Alyson Kunzi had 14 points and Ashley Humbert 11 as the Trojans beat the Eagles.

Faith Lutheran 50, Moapa Valley 46 -- At Faith Lutheran, Megahann Smith scored 19 points as the Crusaders rallied to beat the Pirates.

Faith Lutheran outscored Moapa Valley 17-6 in the fourth quarter. Kasi Delgadillo scored 13 points for the Pirates.

Virgin Valley 46, Mountain View 29 -- At Virgin Valley, Rachel Morris scored eight of her 12 points during a 20-3 fourth-quarter run that lifted the Bulldogs over the Saints.

Courtney Spawn had 14 points for Virgin Valley, and Morris added 15 rebounds. Ellie Markwardt led Mountain View with 12 points.
