Durango downs Spring Valley in boys volleyball

Frank Keil had 21 kills and eight digs Wednesday to lead the Durango boys volleyball team to a 22-25, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20, 15-13 win at Spring Valley.

Darren Torrie dished out 37 assists for the Trailblazers. Mark Brautigam added 11 kills.

Jayvin Garcia had 18 assists for Spring Valley, Erick James added eight kills and four blocks, and Tristan Gonzalez had nine digs.

Clark 3, Western 1 -- At Clark, Carlo Desantis had nine kills and Chris Hendriksen added eight kills to lead the Chargers over the Warriors, 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-21.

Ronnie Corcuera had 20 assists for Clark.

Brian Marshall led Western with 13 assists.

Sierra Vista 3, Bishop Gorman 0 -- At Sierra Vista, Joe White tallied eight kills, four aces and three blocks and Brent Waldron added eight kills and five digs as the Lions beat Bishop Gorman, 25-18, 26-24, 25-19.

Riley Foley had eight digs and Jake Houser six kills for Gorman.

Chaparral 3, Eldorado 0 -- At Chaparral, Carlos Chandia dished out 25 assists to help the Cowboys down Eldorado, 25-15, 25-10, 25-11.

DeAndre Marshall had seven kills for Chaparral. Raul Cruz added four aces.

Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 1-- At Canyon Springs, Jonathon Dugan had 19 kills, 19 digs and four blocks and Danny Farias tallied 50 assists, four blocks and three aces as the Wildcats outlasted the Pioneers, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Jordan Hamilton had 12 kills and four blocks, and Ridge Kanet added eight kills and three blocks for Las Vegas.

Ray Esteves had 50 assists and seven digs for Canyon Springs, and Nate Lewis had 15 kills and 17 digs.

Rancho 3, Desert Pines 0 -- At Desert Pines, J.B. Drury had 15 kills and Steve Cuevas recorded 12 digs to help the Rams beat the Jaguars, 27-25, 25-23, 25-15.

Paul Burns had 17 kills for Desert Pines. Albert Villenueva added 11 blocks.

Coronado 3, Bonanza 1 -- At Bonanza, Howie Wu had 47 assists, two blocks and two aces as the Cougars beat Bonanza, 30-28, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Jesse Houchens had eight kills and six blocks and Kekoa Piena added six kills and six digs for Coronado.

Dallin Hyer led Bonanza with 17 kills and nine blocks, and Andrew Whiting added 13 kills and 10 digs.
