Eldorado blanks Del Sol in boys soccer

Alberto Alvarez recorded a shutout Thursday to lead the Eldorado boys soccer team to a 2-0 win over host Del Sol.

Rene Ardon and Josh Cormier each had a goal for the Sundevils.

At Sierra Vista, the Lions and Silverado played to a scoreless tie.

Andrew Fontein had four saves for Sierra Vista, and Joey Mora saved two shots for the Skyhawks.

At Tech, Esteban Corona scored two goals and Omar Jimenez one to lead the Roadrunners to a 3-1 win over Faith Lutheran.

Carlos Martinez, Jose Guiza and Ramiro Baldivias each had an assist for Tech. Chris Ortwein scored for Faith Lutheran.
