FISHING REPORT

LAKE MEAD -- Two large stripers were caught at trout stocking locations at Crawdad Cove and Boulder Harbor. Both fish weighed more than 20 pounds.

Anglers reported catching stripers while trolling along Boulder Beach and shore fishing near Boulder Harbor. The striper tournament yielded several big fish, with a few hitting double digits on the scale.

LAKE MOHAVE -- Anglers fishing at Cottonwood Cove are having no success. But they continue to report good fishing at Willow Beach for pan-size rainbows.

URBAN PONDS -- Fishing has been good despite the rainy weather. Anglers using flies and lures have been successful. One angler at Floyd Lamb Park caught fish with PowerWorms. Anglers using PowerBait need to be patient to catch fish.

Expect fishing to slow before Tuesday's scheduled plant.

KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Open water on Dacey continues to provide opportunities for anglers with float tubes. All other reservoirs are reported frozen, though anglers are encouraged to use caution. Only a few locations boast ice thick enough to walk on.

Because of recent weather conditions, visitors are advised to call the management area before visitation at 775-238-0240.

EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Ice is reported to be 12 to 14 inches thick, and fishing has been excellent for rainbows, browns and tiger trout up to 13 inches in length. PowerBait and worms have been productive.

ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Anglers have ventured onto the ice with the hope of catching rainbow trout. The Nevada Department of Wildlife urges anglers to use caution while ice fishing, as conditions can change drastically in a short period of time.
