FISHING REPORT

• LAKE MEAD -- Anglers are having success for stripers. In the Vegas Wash Arm, they are catching striped bass with top-water and jigging techniques. Hemenway and the beach area are slow, but a few anglers are having success near the tires at Hemenway. Stewart's Point has been good with top-water techniques.

• LAKE MOHAVE -- Fishing at Cottonwood Cove has been fair. Catfish continue to be the fish of choice while fishing with anchovies on the bottom. Anglers reported catching stripers in the 2- to 4-pound range while still-fishing with cut anchovies north of the marina. The best time is early to midmorning and after dark. Anglers are catching trout after the weekly plants at Willow Beach. The fish are hitting on Power Bait and lures.

• LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- Catfish action should improve after today's NDOW fish plant. Panfish and bass are taking worms and lures.

• KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Bass fishing is at its best with the better fishing during low-light hours. Trout fishing has picked up for fly and lure fishermen on Cold Springs and Haymeadow. Bait anglers will find fishing difficult because of weeds.

• EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Trout fishing has been good for anglers using flies and lures fished above the weeds. Patience and PowerBait are taking trout off the dock.

• ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Crappie fishing is good for anglers using worms and flies, and bass are hitting only during low-light hours.
