• LAKE MEAD -- Triple-digit temperatures are keeping anglers away during midday. Striper boils have been popping up in the Vegas Wash arm. Fish are hitting top-water lures and cut baits. Stripers are hitting hardware and bait in the upper basins.
• LAKE MOHAVE -- Trout fishing has been fair to good near the fishing pier. Anglers are using PowerWorms, salmon-egg scented PowerBait and flies. Fishing at Cottonwood Cove is fair. Stripers in the 2- to 6-pound range are hitting sardines, squid and anchovies in coves north of the marina. Catfish up to 5 pounds are being caught.
• LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- A catfish plant is scheduled for today. Bluegill fishing continues to be consistent using meal worms and night crawlers.
• KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Bass fishing continues to be good. Trout fishing is slow.
• EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Fishing is fair to good for rainbows and tiger trout. Baits of choice are PowerBait, worms, lures and flies.
• ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Weeds are becoming a nuisance toward the back of the reservoir and near the boat launch area. But the growth is creating good bass habitat, with anglers catching several largemouth bass in the early evening.
