Fishing report

■ LAKE MEAD -- Anglers continue to find action for striped bass while throwing shad imitations or still-fishing with live shad. The Vegas Wash continues to produce fish, as does the Overton Arm and the Temple Bar area. One lucky angler netted more than 60 fish while trolling a shad imitation just above the weed line. Included in his catch were stripers, largemouth bass and smallies. Anglers fishing near the tires at Hemenway are catching stripers and catfish. The beach area remains slow.

■ LAKE MOHAVE -- Trolling, jigging and still-fishing with anchovies have been producing fish. Some have pushed the 10-pound mark. The catfish bite also has been good. Trout anglers are finding good fishing after the weekly trout plants at Willow Beach, though the shoreline can get crowded. The striper bite on the river has slowed.

■ LAUGHLIN -- Stocked rainbows are giving anglers reason to smile along this section of the Colorado River. The fish have been taking worms and other traditional trout baits and lures. Fast water below the dam makes fishing difficult, so anglers have been concentrating their efforts farther south. Striped bass have been taking small trout imitations.

■ URBAN PONDS -- Water temperatures are slowly coming down but not particularly fast. This might delay Nevada Department of Wildlife trout stocking activities until late November. In the meantime, anglers might find action for bluegill, largemouth bass and catfish.

■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- The rainbow trout bite is good at Cold Springs, Haymeadow and Adams-McGill reservoirs. All three have received shipments of fish in the past couple of weeks. Bass fishing is slow, but fish are there to be had.

■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Nighttime temperatures have dropped into the low 20s, and snow is expected this week. That should slow any bass action, but, with recent trout plants, anglers should continue to find good fishing. Green PowerBait and worms have been catching the fish. German trout should be on the prowl as well.

■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- With area temperatures falling, anglers can expect to see a slowdown for bass and crappie. Recent fish plants will improve trout fishing. Rainbow trout are hitting PowerBait, night crawlers, lures and spinners.
