FISHING REPORT

* LAKE MEAD -- Despite rough weather conditions, striped bass continue to hit live shad and rainbow trout imitations from Hemenway to Boulder Harbor. Shad imitations also are catching fish. Striped bass caught near the trout plants are ranging up to 23 pounds. Stocked trout are holding well at Boulder Harbor but spread out quickly at the Hemenway fishing pier.

* LAKE MOHAVE -- Fishing activity has dropped off significantly. Shore fishing for striped bass remains slow, but boaters have found success below Willow Beach. Larger stripers are hitting swimbaits, and smaller fish are biting on anchovies. Rough weather has kept anglers off the water at Cottonwood Cove, though some are finding success north of the cove and in the vicinity of Aztec Wash or Placer Cove.

* LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- With recent trout plants, fishing has been picking up at Sunset and Floyd Lamb Park. Fish are in deeper water, with Panther Martin, Mepp's and Rooster Tail spinners working well. Bait options include mini marshmallows fished alone or with worms. PowerBait, PowerEggs and small spinners also are catching fish.

* KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Unseasonably warm temperatures have kept the area's reservoirs free of significant ice, but current weather activity might change that. Go prepared for the possibility of icy conditions.

* EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Winter weather has settled in on this Lincoln County fishery. About 3 inches of ice is on the reservoir, but it is not safe for fishing.

* ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- The water is low and has ice, but it is not safe for ice fishing.
