FISHING REPORT

* LAKE MEAD -- Smallmouth and largemouth bass are hitting in the Overton Arm near structures and brush. Striped bass have been pushing shad to the surface in the same area. In the Vegas Bay arm, anglers continue to find good top-water fishing for stripers with lures and live shad. Box Car Cove has been productive in the past week.

* LAKE MOHAVE -- Anglers pulled in two 20-inch fish while trolling near Cottonwood Cove Marina on a 4-inch swim bait resembling a rainbow trout. Largemouth bass have been showing up near Cottonwood and Aztec Wash.

* LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- Rainbow trout are being caught in urban ponds. Try PowerBait or worms. Fishing for catfish continues to be slow. Try night crawlers, a prepared stink bait or chicken livers.

* EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Worms and PowerBait have been the key for success. Flies and spinners also are working.

* ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Anglers have been taking crappie on small Gitzits fished below a pencil bobber. Also try small crappie jigs. For rainbow trout, try night crawlers, PowerBait and spinners.

* KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Big rainbows have been seen near Cold Springs. PowerEggs, PowerBait, spinners and flies have been producing fish. Largemouth bass have been hitting. Fish the weed beds and reeds with flies, plastic baits and hardware.
