■ LAKE MEAD -- Striper boils are becoming more frequent and should increase going into August and September. Anglers are landing decent sized stripers in the Vegas Wash area and from 33 Hole to Callville Bay. They also are catching fish near Temple Bar and in the Overton Arm near Stewarts Point. Trolling and casting lures near boils will pick up a few fish, but don't run through the boil with your boat. Still-fishing with anchovies will catch stripers and catfish.
■ LAKE MOHAVE -- Fishing for rainbows is good immediately after the weekly trout plant by the Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery. Anglers are catching fish on small lures such as Kastmasters and Panther Martins. At Cottonwood Cove, anglers are finding fair action for catfish while using cut and prepared bait fished off the bottom. Stripers have been hitting cut anchovies and sardines while anglers troll along the mouths of coves in the big basin. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are hitting shallow diving lures in the mornings around the coves.
■ LAS VEGAS URBAN PONDS -- Fishing has slowed because of the heat and changing weather patterns. Bluegill and other sunfish can be caught if anglers have patience. These fish seek shelter in the shade of trees hanging over the ponds. The catfish bite has been slow.
■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Bass anglers are landing fish on all reservoirs with both top-water and diving lures. Trout fishing has been difficult.
■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Anglers still are catching trout, but fishing is fair.
■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Trout fishing is fair while using PowerBait, worms or flies. Bass fishing has been good around the shore near the weeds. Crappie fishing is slow.
