■ LAKE MEAD -- Striper fishing has been fair to good from 33 Hole to Callville Bay. Anglers have been catching fish using cut anchovies while jigging or trolling as well as throwing the occasional lure into the boils. Boulder Beach has been slow to fair as stripers come in sporadically. But anglers continue to catch stripers and catfish near the tires at Hemenway. Anglers launching from Callville report decent largemouth and smallmouth action in the coves.
■ LAKE MOHAVE -- Fishing has been poor to fair with few reports of stripers caught, but anglers are finding fair action for bluegill and catfish on a variety of prepared baits. The average whisker fish has been from 2 to 4 pounds. Anglers are reporting some success for largemouth and smallmouth bass on a variety of lures.
■ URBAN PONDS -- Fishing at the urban park ponds is slow, though anglers might find bluegill action at the Floyd Lamb Park and Boulder City Veterans Memorial Park ponds. Think small when it comes to your bait presentation.
■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA -- Bass fishing is fair to good on all reservoirs with top-water and shallow-diving lures. Most anglers are having luck in the morning and evening hours. Trout fishing is fair in the morning.
■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR -- Weedy conditions are becoming a nuisance for shore anglers. Fishing from a boat or the dock are the most productive methods.
■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR -- Bass fishing is good near the shore and around any structure. Trout fishing is considered slow.
