Flurry by Sky Sox turns tie game into rout of 51s

Ryan Rohlinger hit a two-run double in the sixth inning, fueling an eight-run surge that carried the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to a 12-4 victory over the 51s on Monday in the Pacific Coast League at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Las Vegas (49-46) scored twice in the top of sixth to tie the game at 4-all, but the Sky Sox struck back quickly with four runs in the sixth and four in the seventh.
51s starter Scott Richmond (5-8) allowed 11 hits and eight runs (six earned) in six innings. Rommie Lewis gave up four runs on six hits in one inning.
Chris Nelson hit a two-run homer for Colorado Springs (42-53).
David Cooper was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Adam Loewen and Darin Mastroianni had two hits each for Las Vegas.
The teams play twice today, starting at 4:05 p.m. PDT.
