Green Valley triumphs in girls golf

Evi Sundquist carded a 2-over-par 38 to help the Green Valley girls golf team win a nine-hole Southeast Division meet at Revere on Thursday.

The Gators shot a 211. Silverado carded a 219, followed by Coronado (260) and Foothill (320).

Green Valley's Jordan Sala was second individually with a 39.

At Los Prados, Almira Wellborn shot 17-over 87 to lead Canyon Springs to a win in a Northeast Division Match.

Wellborn won medalist honors by 10 strokes, and the Pioneers captured the team title with a 547. Las Vegas was second at 553.
