Grizzlies down Wranglers, 3-1

Adam Huxley scored 16 seconds into the game Tuesday to give the Wranglers a quick lead, but Las Vegas was shut out the rest of the way in a 3-1 ECHL loss to the Utah Grizzlies at West Valley City, Utah.

Vinny Scarsella tied it 1-1 at 18:26 of the second period, and Michael Pelech gave Utah (10-14-3, 23 points) the lead midway through the third. David Vallorani added an empty-net goal with one second left.

Travis Fullerton stopped 34 of 36 shots for the Wranglers (8-17-3, 19), who suffered their season-high seventh straight loss.

Las Vegas will host the Bakersfield Condors (11-15-1) at 2:05 p.m. today at the Orleans Arena in its second annual Indoor Winter Classic.
