■ ARBOR VIEW -- Softball player Ashlyn Ames improved her season average to .652 -- with five doubles, four home runs and 17 RBIs -- and also had 11 strikeouts and one walk in two pitching appearances. Baseball player Evan McMahan improved his season average to .611 and has 15 RBIs.

■ BASIC -- Boys volleyball player Tanner Humphreys had 11 kills, nine digs and two blocks in the Wolves' 3-0 victory over Clark.

■ BISHOP GORMAN -- Baseball player Joey Gallo improved his season average to .692 and has three home runs and 12 RBIs. Softball player Alexandria Gordon was 15-for-18 with 14 RBIs and 11 runs in the Bishop Gorman Tournament.

■ CANYON SPRINGS -- Boys track athlete Corey Esco won the long jump with a mark of 20 feet, 8 inches and the high jump at 5-11 in a meet with Eldorado.

■ CENTENNIAL -- Girls track athlete Tamera Williams won the 100- and 200-meter dashes in a meet against Arbor View and Cheyenne and helped the Bulldogs to wins in the 400 and 800 relays at the Viking Relays at Valley. Boys track athlete Jayson Matlock won the 110 hurdles in a meet at Cheyenne and ran on the winning distance medley relay and shuttle hurdle relay teams at the Viking Relays.

■ CHAPARRAL -- Boys volleyball player Nate Kirschbaum had 16 kills, three blocks and four aces in the Cowboys' 3-0 victory over Mojave.

■ CHEYENNE -- Boys swimmer Kody Stahl was first in the 50-meter freestyle and second in the 100 freestyle and anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay team in a meet with Adelson School.

■ CIMARRON-MEMORIAL -- Baseball player Kevin Dorantes was 7-for-9 with a home run, three doubles, nine RBIs and four runs in three games and struck out two of the three batters he faced. Girls swimmer Cambridge Guerrero won the 50-yard freestyle and 100 butterfly against Shadow Ridge.

■ CLARK -- Baseball player Jordan Ivy was 5-for-9 with two home runs and five RBIs and had a pitching victory.

■ CORONADO -- Baseball player Dillon Fahr went 5-for-8 with six runs, three stolen bases and a triple in four games. Softball player Alyssa Ayers was 8-for-12 with six RBIs and six runs in three games.

■ DESERT OASIS -- Softball player Natasha Chapman hit .625 with four RBIs and four runs in four games. Boys track athlete Jacob Benham set season bests in the shot put (42 feet, 2 inches) and discus (130 feet).

■ DURANGO -- Boys swimmer Andrew Ward was first in the 100-yard freestyle in 51.77 seconds and third in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.23 against Bishop Gorman. Girls swimmer Evelynne Hernandez was first in the 200 individual medley in 2:41.92 and second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:17.75 against Gorman.

■ ELDORADO -- Baseball player Eric Larsen was 13-for-18 with three doubles, four triples, a home run and eight RBIs at the Cibola Invitational in Yuma, Ariz.

■ GREEN VALLEY -- Boys track athlete Simon Mitchell cleared 13 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault in a meet with Boulder City and Liberty. Girls swimmer Sarah McKay won the 100-yard butterfly in 1 minute, 1 second and the 100 backstroke in 1:05.6 and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay team in the Gators' victory over Silverado.

■ MOUNTAIN VIEW -- Baseball player Trevor Van Kempen was 5-for-7 with six walks and six runs to help the Saints to a 3-1 record at the Mountain View Spring Slam. Softball player Lexi Alley had seven hits and four stolen bases at the Spring Slam.

■ PALO VERDE -- Softball player Melissa McCormick pitched a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double in the Panthers' 4-2 victory over Foothill. Baseball player Matt Hutchings was 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs against Green Valley.

■ SIERRA VISTA -- Boys track athlete Matt Murphy was first in the 200-meter dash, high jump and 110 hurdles in a meet at Durango.

■ SILVERADO -- Boys volleyball player Kyle Divicino totaled 25 kills, 18 digs and three aces in three matches. Girls swimmer Mallory Harris won the 100-yard breaststroke against Green Valley.

■ SUNRISE MOUNTAIN -- Baseball player Daniel Guardado was 3-for-4 with two triples, a double, two RBIs and two runs in the Miners' 9-6 win over Tech. Softball player Monica Herrera improved her season average to .500.

■ TECH -- Baseball player Travis Canfield had 11 strikeouts and gave up two earned runs in 6 2/3 innings against Sunrise Mountain.

■ VALLEY -- Girls track athlete Krystal Wharton won the 100-meter dash and long jump and ran on the winning 400 relay team in a meet with Desert Pines.
