• ARBOR VIEW -- Girls golfer Alyssa Ballew shot 85 to place first in a Northwest League match at Paiute. Boys soccer player Jonny Mayorga scored with less than five minutes left to give the Aggies a 2-1 win over Cheyenne.
• BASIC -- Girls volleyball player Tara Patchett had 12 kills, three blocks and seven digs in a 3-1 win over Foothill. Football quarterback Robby Faiman rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 142 yards and three TDs in a 44-33 win over Liberty.
• BISHOP GORMAN -- Football player Joe Huber passed for 275 yards and four TDs in a 55-0 win over Clark. Girls tennis player Sarah Toti won a singles set against Clark and went 2-0 in doubles against Durango.
• BONANZA -- Girls volleyball player Christin Figgins totaled 40 digs in two matches.
• CENTENNIAL -- Boys tennis player Austin Howell was 3-0 in singles against Faith Lutheran and 2-1 in a match against Sierra Vista. Girls cross country runner Adrielle Wechsler led the Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the Central Park Invitational in Huntington Beach, Calif.
• CIMARRON-MEMORIAL -- Boys soccer goalkeeper Alex Ramirez posted a shutout in a 2-0 win over Shadow Ridge. Girls golfer Madison Newhard shot a 108 at SilverStone in a Northwest League match.
• CORONADO -- Girls cross country runner Michaelanne Laurent placed fifth at the Central Park Invitational. Boys soccer player Jake LeClaire totaled three goals and an assist in two games.
• DEL SOL -- Football player Earnest Hall rushed for 134 yards against Foothill. Girls volleyball player Kadie Miller totaled 62 assists, seven kills, nine digs and nine aces in three matches.
• DESERT OASIS -- Football player Angelo Bianco led the Diamondbacks in tackles against Canyon View (Utah). Girls volleyball player Auburn Smith had 16 assists, three blocks and five aces in a 3-0 victory over Spring Valley.
• DESERT PINES -- Football player Derrick Shaw rushed for 206 yards and a touchdown in a 27-14 win over Eldorado.
• DURANGO -- Girls volleyball player Morgan Malone totaled 51 assists, nine digs and five aces in wins over Bonanza and Western. Football player Julio Mora rushed for 77 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Pahrump Valley.
• ELDORADO -- Girls volleyball player Sarah Childs had 14 kills, four aces and four digs in a 3-2 win over Desert Pines. Soccer player Moises Ramirez scored twice in a 2-0 win over Canyon Springs.
• FAITH LUTHERAN -- Boys cross country runner Johnny Olenik led the Crusaders to a first-place finish in the Lake Mead Invitational.
• GREEN VALLEY -- Renee Moser finished sixth at the Lake Mead Invitational. Running back Quincy Bagsby rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-20 win over Canyon Springs.
• LAS VEGAS -- Football player Emir Lopez was 16-for-26 passing for 285 yards and five touchdowns against Valley. Girls tennis player Gianna Lopresti helped the Wildcats finish undefeated in the Northeast League.
• LEGACY -- Girls volleyball player Kayla Murray had 16 kills and six blocks in a 3-2 win over Arbor View. Football player Marcus McCollum forced a fumble on a 2-point conversion run in overtime to seal a 31-30 win over Arbor View.
• THE MEADOWS -- Boys tennis players Jordan Lamothe and Ryan Wells won all three sets against Mojave. Girls volleyball player Krystina Fong totaled 53 digs in three matches.
• MOUNTAIN VIEW -- Girls volleyball player Zari Riley had eight kills, five aces and two blocks against Agassi Prep.
• PALO VERDE -- Boys tennis player Fernando Sunago improved to 18-0 in singles. Girls tennis player Maia Bernick was 5-0 in singles for the week.
• SHADOW RIDGE -- Football player Zach Hill rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns against Mojave.
• SIERRA VISTA -- Boys soccer player Francisco Kollmann had the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Bonanza. Girls cross country runner Danyella Gonzalez placed 26th at the Bud O'Dea Freshman Championships.
• TECH -- Boys cross country runner Eduardo Cordova led the Roadrunners to a first-place finish at the Pepperdine (Calif.) Invitational.
• VALLEY -- Boys cross country runner Solomon Belay placed first in a four-team meet at Del Sol.
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK MALE Aaron SimonBonanza The senior football player returned a kickoff 8 yards for a touchdown with 4:26 left to break a 35-35 tie and give the Bengals a 41-35 win over Western. Simon also had a rushing TD and a receiving TD. FEMALE Michelle SchenckShadow Ridge The cross country runner placed first in the Lake Mad Invitational at Veterans Memorial Park with a time of 20 minutes, 48 seconds for the 3.1-mile course.
