■ ARBOR VIEW — Boys track athlete Ivy Dobson won the 100-meter dash in 10.99 seconds at the Heitkotter Invitational.

■ BISHOP GORMAN — Boys track athlete Randall Cunningham cleared 7 feet, 2 inches in the high jump in the season’s first meet against Bonanza.

■ BONANZA — Girls track athlete Emily Adams won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs in a meet with Bishop Gorman.

■ BOULDER CITY — Swimmer Evan Klouse won the 100-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke against Tech.

■ CANYON SPRINGS — Softball center fielder Alexandra Givens threw out runners at third and home early in the season. Boys swimmer Lansen DeCosta won the 200-yard individual medley and anchored the winning 200 medley relay team against Silverado.

■ CENTENNIAL — Softball pitcher Cheyenne Cudahy threw a five-hitter with five strikeouts in a 1-0 victory over Palo Verde. Boys swimmer Michael Salle won the 500-yard freestyle in a 165-84 victory over Desert Oasis.

■ CHAPARRAL — Baseball player Thomas Crone picked up victories over Canyon Springs and Tech and threw three shutout innings of relief against Bonanza.

■ CHEYENNE — Softball player Vanessa Sanders had six RBIs against Tech and went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer against Valley.

■ CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Softball player Alexa Snyder threw a five-hitter with 13 strikeouts in a 3-1 victory over Durango. Boys volleyball player Taylor Larsen had 30 assists, five digs, four kills and two aces in a 2-0 victory over Durango.

■ CORONADO — Baseball player Chandler Blanchard threw a three-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Green Valley.

■ DESERT OASIS — Baseball player Jordyn Compehos threw a shutout with seven strikeouts and went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs in a 2-0 win over Centennial. Girls track athlete Taelor Rhodes cleared 5 feet in the high jump against Cimarron-Memorial.

■ DURANGO — Girls track athlete Virginia Salazar-Sandoval won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and anchored the winning 3,200 relay team against Shadow Ridge. Boys track athlete Tyler Watts broke the school record in the high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 5 inches.

■ FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls track athlete Clarissa Maxey was second in the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Heitkotter Invitational and also won the 100 in a meet against Western. Baseball player Andrew Hudgins went 9-for-18 with five doubles, a homer and 10 RBIs in four games.

■ GREEN VALLEY — Baseball player Jarod Penniman hit .667 with six runs and four RBIs in four games. Softball player Jinger Meiur went 4-for-8 with a triple and a double in victories over Foothill and Coronado.

■ LAS VEGAS — Boys golfer Trey Jensen earned medalist honors with a 1-over-par 73 in a Northeast League match at Legacy.

■ PALO VERDE — Baseball player Kevin DeSoto hit .625 with four RBIs in six games. Softball player Melissa Lacro went 1-for-3 and earned a pitching victory in a 6-3 win over Rancho and then limited 2012 state champion Centennial to one run on five hits in a 1-0 loss.

■ SHADOW RIDGE — Baseball pitcher Logan Hold needed only 78 pitches to throw a shutout with eight strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Silverado. Girls swimmer Kelle Crownover won the 200-yard individual medley and 200 freestyle in a 178-108 victory over Durango.

■ SIERRA VISTA — Girls swimmer Isabella Green was first in the 500-yard freestyle and second in the 200 individual medley against Palo Verde. Baseball player Nolan Kingham threw a two-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks in a 14-0 victory over Durango.

■ SILVERADO — Boys track athlete Dominic Smallwood won the triple jump with a mark of 46 feet at the Heitkotter Invitational.

■ TECH — Baseball player Josh West was 5-for-11 with three doubles and five RBIs in wins over Clark, Mojave and Cheyenne.
