■ ARBOR VIEW - Boys cross country runner Cole Jones won a 2.9-mile race against Palo Verde in 16 minutes, 30 seconds. Girls volleyball player Jordyn Beas totaled 13 kills in 3-0 sweeps over Valley and Eldorado.

■ BASIC - Football player Jaylen Rose passed for 217 yards and two touchdowns in the first half during a 47-14 win at Rancho. Girls volleyball player Leah Causey had 15 kills, 10 digs and four blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Durango.

■ BONANZA - Football player Colton Bennion returned an interception 67 yards for a touchdown, had 48 yards receiving and made 6½ tackles in a 41-13 loss at Palo Verde. Girls volleyball player Sammie Spelman served five aces against Sierra Vista.

■ CANYON SPRINGS - Boys soccer player Jonathan Martinez scored 11 goals in his first four games. Girls soccer player Diamond Larson scored twice during a 6-2 loss to Liberty.

■ CENTENNIAL - Boys tennis player Lucas Lee went 3-0 in singles against Bishop Gorman. Girls tennis player Danielle Gordon was 3-0 in singles during a 15-3 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

■ CHEYENNE - Football player Myloe Lewis rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries in a 56-32 home loss to Ayala (Calif.). Girls soccer player Deborah Chinchilla had four goals and two assists in a 10-0 win over Western.

■ CIMARRON-MEMORIAL - Girls volleyball player Chalon Henderson had seven kills and two blocks in a 3-0 sweep of Canyon Springs.

■ DESERT OASIS - Boys tennis player Bryce Tacker went 5-1 in singles against Legacy and Gorman. Girls cross country runner Brooke Locey took fifth in the large-school division in the 3.1-mile Larry Burgess-Las Vegas Invitational in 21:05.3 at Veterans Memorial Park in Boulder City.

■ FAITH LUTHERAN - Girls soccer player Dani Tharaldson tallied two goals and one assist in two matches.

■ GREEN VALLEY - Boys soccer player Akira Bannai anchored the defense and scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Foothill.

■ LAS VEGAS - Football player Andrew Moreland rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries in a 17-13 win at Desert Oasis.

■ THE MEADOWS - Boys soccer player Johnnie Woodson led the defense in a 0-0 tie against Faith Lutheran and a 2-1 victory over Pahrump Valley. Girls cross country runner Jinks Heerema finished third in the small-school division at the Las Vegas Invitational in 22:15.9.

■ MOUNTAIN VIEW - Football player Travis Wallace accounted for one touchdown rushing, passing and receiving in a 28-18 win over Agassi Prep at Rancho. Girls volleyball player Elle Germany had five kills against Lake Mead.

■ SHADOW RIDGE - Boys cross country runner David Peters was the top Nevada finisher in the Larry Burgess-Las Vegas Invitational, taking third in 17:09.6. Girls soccer player Taylor Lopez scored in a 2-2 tie against Desert Oasis.

■ TECH - Boys cross country runner Zach Zimdars set a course record at the 2.8-mile Freedom Park in 16:36 and led the Roadrunners to the small-school division title in the Larry Burgess-Las Vegas Invitational.
