High-scoring duo carry Cheyenne

Christian Lightbourne scored 25 points and Ricky Henry 23 as Cheyenne's boys basketball team built a 12-point lead after three quarters and held on to defeat host Cimarron-Memorial, 90-86, on Tuesday.

Demetric Williams added 14 points for the Desert Shields. Elijah Johnson scored 11 and Eric Leider 10.

Mike Cutright compiled 33 points and 15 rebounds for the Spartans, who scored 34 points in the fourth quarter. Tyler Tuliau added 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Arthur Baker had 11 points.

• Centennial 65, Shadow Ridge 57 -- At Centennial, Adam Young made 7 of 9 free throws in the fourth quarter and finished with 22 points, guiding the Bulldogs past the Mustangs.

Zach Hafen led Shadow Ridge with 17 points. John McCoy scored 16 and Josh Berkley 15.

• Mojave 61, Legacy 55 -- At Mojave, Darian Norris scored 23 points, and the Rattlers held off the Longhorns.

Kevin James added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Mojave, and Alex Montgomery scored 14.

Walter Chappell had 21 points for Legacy.

• Foothill 64, Coronado 57 -- At Foothill, Ben Green scored a team-high 18 points to help the Falcons beat the Cougars.

Coronado's Cory Ford led all scorers with 22 points.

• Liberty 103, Del Sol 77 -- At Liberty, Justin King contributed 19 points and nine rebounds as the Patriots defeated the Dragons.

Milos Knezevic added 17 points and Kenneth Peters 16 for Liberty, which led 76-39 after three quarters.

Del Sol's Jeff Coon scored a game-high 22 points.

• Palo Verde 80, Arbor View 54 -- At Palo Verde, Aaron May scored 19 points and Moses Morgan 17 to propel the Panthers.

Liloa Nobriga added 13 points and 10 rebounds for Palo Verde. Darington Banks scored 24 to lead the Aggies.

• Green Valley 75, Basic 38 -- At Green Valley, Josh McCarver led all scorers with 22 points, and the Gators coasted after building a 36-20 halftime lead.

Cody Aughney, Matt Gable and Jose Rodriguez each added 10 points for Green Valley.

Josh Ross topped the Wolves with 12 points.

• Faith Lutheran 74, Virgin Valley 41 -- At Mesquite, Diontea Wright scored 13 points to help the Crusaders clinch the Class 3A Southern League title.

Brett Lubbe added 12 points and Paul Moyer 10 for Faith Lutheran. Johnny Gleave led the Bulldogs with 12 points.

• The Meadows 55, Henderson International 36 -- At Henderson International, Graham Hilts scored a game-high 21 points, and the Mustangs defeated the Wolverines.

Richard Martinez added 12 points and John Chino 10 for The Meadows.

Vinh Thai led Henderson International with 13 points.

• Pahrump Valley 56, Trinity 53 -- At Pahrump, the Trojans trailed by 16 points before rallying for the victory.

Pahrump took the lead for good with 3:06 left on a basket by Alex Anderson that made the score 43-42.

Darius Dolly scored 20 points and Tyler True 12 for the Trojans.

Budweiser Hawkins led Trinity with 15 points. Jordan Ellerbe (11) and Daveron Ross (10) also hit double figures.

• Needles (Calif.) 56, Mountain View 47 -- At Needles, Stevie Kidd scored 20 points as the Mustangs downed the Saints.

Darra Russell added 18 points for Needles, which took control with an 18-4 second quarter.

Brandon Carr had 17 points to lead Mountain View, and Justyn Anderson scored 15.

• Boulder City 61, Moapa Valley 49 -- At Overton, Joey Western had 22 points to lead the Eagles over the Pirates.

Jeremy Smith added 13 points for Boulder City. Dustin Maletich and Shaun Hilton scored nine apiece for Moapa Valley.
