Hill, Lane power 51s past RedHawks

Shawn Hill threw six solid innings, and Jason Lane hit a three-run homer as the visiting 51s routed host Oklahoma City
8-1 Sunday in the Pacific Coast League.

Hill allowed one run on three hits and two walks, with two strikeouts. Rommie Lewis then threw two shutout innings, and Zach Jackson induced a groundout and two strikeouts in a perfect ninth.

Las Vegas (58-64) took control in the fifth inning on Lane's bomb, which made it 4-0. Chris Lubanski followed with a single, then scored on Brad Emaus' double.

Manny Mayorson hit a two-run shot in the sixth inning to put the 51s up 7-0.

Herman Iribarren's RBI double in the bottom of the sixth gave the RedHawks (63-57) their lone run.
