Home runs boost Cimarron-Memorial to win

Carrie Sheehan and Starlyn Thomas each cracked a two-run homer Wednesday to lift Cimarron-Memorial's softball team to a 7-6 home win over Palo Verde.
Felicia Valdez was 3-for-4 with an RBI for the Spartans. Winning pitcher Paige Savage was 2-for-3 for Cimarron.
Erika Stratton hit two home runs for Palo Verde.
• Arbor View 16, Mojave 0 -- At Arbor View, Nichole Diaz went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a triple and five RBIs to help the Aggies rout Mojave.
Chelsea Venable was 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs for Arbor View. Winning pitcher Berlin Panduro tossed a two-hitter and struck out 10.
• Shadow Ridge 13, Legacy 2 -- At Legacy, Jackie Pugliese went 3-for-4 with a triple for the Mustangs, and Rayna Bradshaw was 3-for-4 with a double. Darcey Cochran was 2-for-3 for Legacy.
• Centennial 16, Cheyenne 1 -- At Cheyenne, Johnna Brown went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and three runs to lead the Bulldogs.
Jennifer Watkins was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Centennial.
• Foothill 7, Green Valley 3 -- At Foothill, Amber Stater went 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI to lead the Falcons' 12-hit attack.
Brandy Yamka was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Foothill. Green Valley's Alicia Firelein had a home run and a double.
• Liberty 7, Coronado 3 -- At Coronado, Liberty's Carson Cooper laced a game-tying triple in the top of the seventh, and Amber Gallego ripped a bases-loaded double later in the inning.
Breanna English was 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Patriots.
• Silverado 3, Basic 2 -- At Basic, Silverado took advantage of four errors and scored the winning run on a double steal in the top of the seventh.
Katie Devlin pitched the distance and struck out eight while scattering five hits to get the win.
• Marist (Calif.) 14, Bishop Gorman 10 -- At Bishop Gorman, Hyree White went 4-for-5 with two homers, a double, a triple and seven RBIs to lead Marist. Aaryn Ellenberg went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and an RBI for the Gaels.
• Needles (Calif.) 17, Boulder City 6 -- At Boulder City, Needles broke a 5-5 tie with five runs in the top of the sixth inning, then scored seven in the seventh.
• Del Sol 9-8, Tech 5-4 -- At Tech, the Dragons notched two come-from-behind wins.
