Northern Soldier - Lost his rider Potts to the favorite, Scottsbluff; tactical speed to stalk the field from the wide post.
Long Shot - Turnbolt
Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $29,000, Maiden claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds and up
Ace Appeal - FTS from the respected Koriner barn; by top baby sire Successful Appeal, he is bred to be quick and win early.
Tour Da Bronx - Logical chalk taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to claiming; should improve in second start.
Long Shot - Inclusive
Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $27,000, Claiming 425,000, 3-year-olds
Boppa Bob - Did a classic pop and stop in last going around 2-turns for the first time; back to sprint, he can rebound here.
Hot Flame - Logical chalk figures to be under some duress early; Talamo is showing signs of slippage as he’s a marked man.
Long Shot - Gotta Getcha
Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
Jeannie’s Benji - FTS by El Corredor is trained by NoCal maestro Hollendorfer; like that he opted to debut him in Inglewood.
Set Play - FTS from Miller who has shown he is adept at winning early with his babies; cost $105k at Ocala in training sale.
Long Shot - Sayit
Race 5 - 7 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Jay Ay - Like the turf back in distance from a 2-turn grass route for this elongated sprint; may show some moxie in the lane.
Promise of Spring - Has tactical speed where one of these days she will get the right trip; no one in here is a worldbeater.
Long Shot - Ladies Bet
Race 6 - 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $44,000, Claiming $62,500, 4-year-olds and up
True Dancer - I mentioned how the Mullins barn exploded on Saturday; he has many live ones today, so the circus may continue.
Grafton - Claimed by Canani off a sharp win in last while facing better; he drops him down in class, a red flag for some.
Long Shot - Quest Venture
Race 7 - 7 furlongs, Purse $49,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds
Scat Thief - Second best last time to a short priced, much the best winner; good race showed that he likes Cushion track.
Abalanche - Gets class relief exiting the Barrera for this first level allowance; parking lot post OK at this distance.
Long Shot - Sunshine Ridge
Race 8 - 1 1/16th miles, $100,000 Affirmed Handicap, 3-year-olds
Awesome Gambler - His two wins over Cushion track are like night and day compared to prior races; will be flying fast late.
Desert Code - Good value on a colt who keeps improving with each race; equally skilled on both grass and Cushion track.
Long Shot - Albertus Maximus
Race 9 - 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
Relentless - Delgadillo rides long shots as good as anyone in the jockey colony; will save ground and test these late.
Minimite - Ran well in return off a 9-month hiatus; Baze will also sit a trip and try to unleash his rally in the lane.
