Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds
7 Warren's Dove - Speedball figures to dominate from the get go; P Val goes as fast and as far as he can.
4 Good Brother - Dead-late closer claimed off a solid second; stalkers and closers have been doing better of late.
Long Shot - 1a Mark of a Warrior
Race 2 - 7 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds
4 Tone for Atonement - Has good dirt experience for the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; tactical speed to sit a trip.
2 Summers At Delmar - Julio Canani has been laying in wait; he likes to pick his spots and this is a good one.
Long Shot - 1 Coo Cachoo
Race 3 - 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), $150,000 Robert J. Frankel, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
5 Harmonious - Draw a line through the Breeders' Cup debacle and she looks fine; should be a big player in the division.
3 Eclair de Lune - Game try in the Breeders' Cup; she won the Beverly D so she is a serious contender to the heavy chalk.
Long Shot - 1 Go Forth North
Race 4 - 7 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up
1 Warren's Concept - In a field this slow, the lead can be very important; looks like a no-passing-zone race.
4 Warren's Tommy Too - Has cashed checks in 5-of-11 starts; should get good value with unknown bugboy riding.
Long Shot - 9 Oh Mighty Dollar
Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
2 River Glow - Mare is old enough to have run on Santa Anita dirt back in 2007; if right she can be tough.
6 Tamerin - If anyone can steal this on the front end, it's this gal; sliding down the claiming ladder for Mike Mitchell.
Long Shot - 4 Grand Mischief
Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $54,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds
1 Full Instinct - Should see a nice pace scenario to close into; Peter Miller adding blinkers on, keeps Garrett Gomez too.
3 Shelter Cove - Doug O'Neill adding blinkers on; he's been well bet in all 5 starts, they obviously like his ability.
Long Shot - 10 Classy Lion
Race 7 - 6 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up
2 Catalan - Dead-late closer could see a perfect pace scenario; Joel Rosario can mow the pacesetters down late.
3 Solar Rocket - Speedball figures to have lots of company on the front end; lost to a good one in China for Bob Baffert.
Long Shot - 6 Irrefutable
Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), $100,000 Daytona, 4-year-olds and up
2 Afleet Ruler - Dead-late closer should see a wicked fast pace to close into; offers nice value at 9/2 odds.
1 Dance With Gable - Speedball is perfect 3-for-3 wins down the hillside turf course; catch him to win.
Long Shot - 7 Dilemma
Race 9 - 6 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $8,000, 4-year-olds and up
13 Beyond Loaded - Was flattered when Dapper Gene won next out; big class drop and picking up Joel Rosario to ride.
3 Cafe Con Leche - Sneaky choice in a wide-open, bottom-level claimer; has good tactical speed to be forwardly placed.
Long Shot - 12 Candy Coast
Best Bet - 5 Harmonious (race 3)
Santa Anita Park Friday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 16/5/$31.20; Long Shots, 8/0/$0; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
