HORSE RACING

Post Time 12:30 p.m.

Race 1 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds

Eze Does It - Been away 10 months, but faced much tougher than he will tonight; expect improvement from age 2 to 3.

Kim's Leading Man - Getting long in the tooth with 9 tries already; most of the others in here can't run at all.

Long Shot - Pride of Wilshire

Race 2 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $48,000, Allowance, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Full Mandate - Rough trip in last cost her any chance to win; Jim Cassidy adds blinkers on for this.

Hard Way Ten - Classy graduate tries turf and facing winners for the first time; like that Rafael Bejarano stays on.

Long Shot - I'mneverwrong

Race 3 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

So Hottie - Returns form an 11-month hiatus at this bottom class rung; she showed talent before going on the shelf.

Sister Lucy - Good looking graduate facing winners for the first time; she need not be much to compete with these.

Long Shot - Gotham Spirit

Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds

My Secret Life - Third start off a 2-month hiatus should be a charm; he just looks a lot faster than these.

Willycan - FTS at least from a trainer I can recognize, Gary Mandella; need not be much to earn a paycheck.

Long Shot - Zing Zing

Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up

Indy Ride - Claimed by A. C. Avila, enough for me to expect big improvement; like the turn back in distance too.

Stray Cat - Third start off a 2-month hiatus; dead late closer will sit in arrears and make one run.

Long Shot - Delago

Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $44,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds

Preamble - Like the parking lot post for going down the hillside turf course; figures to fire fast in the lane.

Tweebster - Faced much tougher last year at Del Mar; freshened 8 months, the only question is fitness.

Long Shot - Bradium

Race 7 - 7 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up

Wells Furgo - Sliding down the claiming ladder to the bottom level; this is a now or never spot for him.

Casa O - John Sadler cull bounced in last after a solid debut second; can upset if he runs back to that race.

Long Shot - Self Defense

Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $25,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up

Giganticus - Dead late closer win and takes a big class drop; may be a big red flag, but repeat race wins this.

Youthful Ambition - Speedball figures to wear a target on his back; flattered when Crossing the Line won next out.

Long Shot - Cadillac

Race 9 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up

Roar of Applause - Mike Mitchell puts up the white flag running for $40K; like that Rafael Bejarano takes the call.

Street Car - Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry, so keep an eye on Red Door Drive; good chance he'll be involved early.

Long Shot - Universal Peace

Race 10 - 1 3/4 miles (turf), $150,000 San Juan Capistrano Handicap, 4-year-olds and up

Bourbon Bay - He's finally figured it out after underachieving for so long; this is a real galloper's race.

Stalingrad - Showed no signs of rust winning in hard off a 20-month vacation; speed to lead or sit close up.

Long Shot - Falcon Rock

Best Bet - My Secret Life (race 4)

Santa Anita Saturday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 18/4/$15.60; Long Shots, 8/4/$37.40; Best Bet, 1/1/$2.60
