TODAY AT SANTA ANITA PARK

Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds
Run Over You - His last two speed figures tower over this group; caveat is he is a come from behind type in a small field.
Brave Justice - Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career low class; should have a puncher's chance.
Long Shot - Ever So Humble
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Cozi Rosie - John Sadler entered two clearly to make the race go for this filly; bred to easily handle the stretch out.
Smoothe as Candy - Just missed in a solid mile try on turf in last; she is the favorites main contender.
Long Shot - On the Cover
Race 3 - 1 mile, Purse $14,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up
Indy Ride - Was left with way too much to do in last; at a mile, he'll be sitting much closer to the early pace.
Just Heat - Always respect NoCal shippers from the Art Sherman barn; ran OK in turf debut, returns to synthetics.
Long Shot - Chop House George
Race 4 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
This Time Baby - Only filly with experience to show any kind of ability; was heavily favored in her debut.
Champion Ride - Key angles are Cliff Sise is productive with FTS and the sire Candy Ride is throwing out runners.
Long Shot - Akeela
Race 5 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $52,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Spring Style - Like that Joel Rosario had choices and opted to ride for Ben Cecil; many gaps in resume, but has talent.
Hameildaeme - Gets big time class relief from 4 graded stakes for this; Garrett Gomez and Kathy Walsh are a hot combo.
Long Shot - Pericia Fina
Race 6 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Phoenician Star - Small edge in the toughest race on the card; was well bet in debut and is liable to improve a step.
Lana's Lovely - Like the turn back in distance where her best stride should come late; passes tired foes in the lane.
Long Shot - Lisa Lulu
Race 7 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 30 feet), Purse $56,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up
Monzante - Exits 3 grade 1 stakes for this much easier task; Mike Mitchell wants a confidence builder for him.
Yorktown - Had a trip from hell last time; Joel Rosario had choices and opted to ride back for Graham Motion.
Long Shot - Red Alert Day
Race 8 - 1 1/8th miles, Purse $11,000, Claiming $8,000, 4-year-olds
Orientation Hall - 9 furlongs for this bottom rung is strictly a gallopers race; his race 2 back would crush these.
James Prior - Consistent sort is well suited to run evenly throughout; takes the weight off with Christian Reyes.
Long Shot - Souvenir Slew
Best Bet - Run Over You (race 1)
Santa Anita Wednesday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 15/4/$21.20; Long Shots, 6/1/$6.80; Best Bet, 1/1/$6.00
Santa Anita Totals - 229/59/$401.20; Long Shots, 115/17/$175.60; Best Bets, 14/8/$34.80
