Post Time 7:05 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 furlongs, Purse $35,200, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds
3 Deluxe Bus - Kept winning ways after being claimed by Mike Mitchell; one change is he is running faster.
1 Cat in the Forest - Speedy sort will need to contend with Free Time early on; goes as far and as fast as he can.
Long Shot - 5 Shane Daniel
Race 2 - 5 furlongs, Purse $29,700, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds
3 Free Itch - The ones with experience all look too slow to win; exits a bullet work for a live trainer, Bobby Troeger.
6 Outrageous Belle - Tepid morning line favorite; you'll have a big edge over me in seeing the tote board action.
Long Shot - 8 Toluca
Race 3 - 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $38,500, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
5 Mandated Bliss - Closed fast in last but is at the mercy of the pace; has more tactical speed to utilize.
6 Klassy Saint - Speedball tactics from a parking lot post; suspect P Val will hit the gas pedal from the get go.
Long Shot - 2 Aqua Fever
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Bayona - Sliding down the maiden claiming ladder to this bottom level; this is a now-or-never time for this gal.
1 Girls Lacrosse - No early speed, but has closed with late energy; bad race could fall apart in front of her.
Long Shot - 6 Birthday Time
Race 5 - 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $57,200, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
3 West Ruler - Beaten favorite has a lot of faster races on her resume; draw a line through last and she looks fine.
7 Cooloftheevening - Closed fast last time after a tardy start; can't afford to spot the field 10 lengths again.
Long Shot - 8 English Royal
Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $29,700, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
7 Valley Fog - Typical green debut, slow early, fast late; like the parking lot post to clock the early speed.
3 Tapfortexas - Has improved a lot the last two starts for a price tag; these are his friends, expect better.
Long Shot - 5 Thunder's Heat
Race 7 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $57,200, Optional claiming $62,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Wild Rose - Interesting claim in her U.S. debut; she is eligible for a lot of conditions now too.
2 Downhill Diva - Small 5-pack is the hardest race on the card; stretching out in third start off a 5-month hiatus.
Long Shot - 3 Hopeful Union
Race 8 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
2 Fleet Continental - Red-flag vacation after graduating 6 months ago; big class drop too, still he is plenty fast enough.
6 Marcy's Woods - Tepid chalk ran miserably in last; his race two back is clearly fast enough to beat these.
Long Shot - 9 Preferred Mandate
Best Bet - 3 Deluxe Bus (race 1)
Hollywood Park Thursday - Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 15/6/$48.00; Long Shots, 8/1/$7.60; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
Hollywood Park Totals - 861/225/$1,540.80; Long Shots, 423/67/$756.40; Best Bets, 48/21/$79.00
SIMULCAST PLAY OF THE DAY - 8 Wildcat Frankie (5/2) in race 9 at Monmouth Park. For scoring purposes, we'll make a hypothetical $2 win, place and show bet, $6 total. On Thursday, Here Oui Go Again ran second at Arlington Park paying $5.20 to place and $3.60 to show. Stats - 113/71/$579.60
