Russian Liquor - Good run last time at Del Mar from parking lot post 10; chance to pounce late in meet opener.

Scottish Diamond - Logical chalk has a shot to be lone early speed; suspicious drop down off a sharp win.

Long Shot - Craig’s Storm

Race 2 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), Purse $30,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

Smooth and Savvy - Dead late closer has proven turf form; can upset with a powerful late brush.

Headache - Logical chalk gets the preferred parking lot post down the hill; $40K is his comfort level.

Long Shot - Al Farouk

Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $40,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 2-year-olds

Cabo Chico - FTS from the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer barn; bullet workouts and a spicy speed pedigree.

General Bee Lucky - FTS from Bruce Headley who pops them once in a while; another who has been working well.

Long Shot - Langfuhrious

Race 4 - 1 1/4 miles (turf), Purse $44,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

Palladian General - Ran OK in first start off a 20-month hiatus; showed good talent as a 3-YO, has a high ceiling.

Blazing Spirit - Finished a length ahead of Palladian General in last; appears well suited to sit a nice trip.

Long Shot - Icemancometh

Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up Dixie Passion - Among many taking a big class drop; draw a line thru his turf race and his resume looks OK.

Charlie and Chris - For forgiving handicappers after running the worst race of his career; tactical speed to sit a trip.

Long Shot - Deputy Flyer

Race 6 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $42,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds Erbeia - Showed spunk last time after a tepid debut; bred to be better than average, likely to improve again.

Recap - If pedigree wins the race, he should go straight to the winner’s circle; John Shirreffs rarely wins first out.

Long Shot - Rapid Heat

Race 7 - 7 furlongs, Purse $42,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

Emmy Darling - Ran well around 2-turns in last; she’s better as a late closing sprinter, charging late.

Long Shot - Dish the Dirt

Race 8 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf), $100,000 Morvich Handicap, 3-year-olds and up

Perfect Officer - Brings Saratoga class to this turf sprint; Joel Rosario is a worthy sub to Ramon Dominguez.

Long Shot - Get Funky

Race 9 - 7 furlongs, Purse $14,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up

Boo Too - Dangerous if he draws in; his last race is fast enough to beat these if repeated, improvement wins it.

Red Door Drive - Bob Baffert cull returns from a year hiatus and first time for a price tag; need not be much.
