On Fire - Among many taking a steep class drop, this guy from $50K to $25K; showed good tactical speed in last.

The Firebird - Rafael Bejarano returns after a few days in Maryland; logical chalk just missed last time out.

Long Shot - Harlene

Race 2 - 7 1/2 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $10,000, 3-year-olds and up

Oceanography - Bobby Frankel cull wants to race covered up; turns to David Flores to guide him correctly.

Crimson Star - Tepid chalk in a wide open race; woke up last time when dropped into this bottom class.

Long Shot - Justinplace

Race 3 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $50,000, Optional claiming $80,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Daylumney - Filly showed synthetic skills in England, is imported to SoCal; she is bred to be a good one.

Vikkilee - Ground saving trip from the under-utilized Brice Blanc; has shown better results on synthetics.

Long Shot - Life by R R

Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $46,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

Tactful - Been away 8-months, but tussled with tougher at Del Mar and Oak Tree; need not be much to graduate.

Star Redeemer - Awful run last time off a 4-month; he's better than that and should improve this time out.

Long Shot - Premiere Flyer

Pat the Cool Cat - John Sadler barn is starting to heat up again; becoming a turf sprint specialist.

Mini Do - He's won 4-of-8 starts on grass, maybe that's where they should keep him; good tactical speed.

Music Magic - Exits a key race that yielded Witty and Lady Lumberjack; expect wholesale improvement tonight.

Donttellmewhattodo - Sharp MSW win, now facing winners for the first time; O'Neill barn is heating up.

Dailies - Just missed last time in a strong effort; she is by Arch so turf could be her prefereed surface.

Doughnut - Interesting price horse won on grass two back for a price tag; she drops down again, wake up call.

Church Service - I'm a glutton for punishement, eased in last, that's for me; leap of faith in Rafael Bejarano.

So Hottie - Been knocking on the door; gets dropped down in class with the addition of Rafael Bejarano.

Michelle Marie - If Joel Rosario had choices, he lands here instead of the chalk; beaten chalk in last.
