Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 mile, Purse $16,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Red Neck Gal - Ran great off the claim by trainer Jeff Mullins; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Bold Cleo - Mike Smith likes to ride on the lead, expect him to go for it; proved he loves synthetics.
Long Shot - Topper's Gold
Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $52,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds
Shafted - A keep pointing out how Woodbine shippers are outrunning their high odds; exits a good stakes race.
Massone - Tepid chalk was flattered when Poker Dave won his next start; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot - Scorewithcater
Race 3 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $32,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Flag Waver - There are 7 FTS here, I suspect one of them will win; Ron Ellis is a big reason why.
Spoolish - Was scratched the other day for this softer spot; need not be much to play a major role.
Long Shot - Dixie Lucky
Race 4 - 7 furlongs, Purse $43,000, Claiming $62,500, 4-year-olds and up
Rathor - Bobby Frankel cull facing a bunch of underachievers; hasn't run for a price tag in a while.
All Man - Tepid chalk in a wide open start to the pick 6 carryover; saves ground, grinds it out late.
Long Shot - Absolute Glory
Race 5 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $42,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Heathersdaddysbaby - Suspect that Chantal Sutherland will sell out to get the lead; turf rail out 24 feet.
Tough Apples - Finished right with Heathersdaddysbaby last time; this is another tough leg to the pick 6.
Long Shot - Persian Express
Race 6 - 7 furlongs, Purse $48,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up
Cat Brulay - Ran a winning race for this class level in last; Darrell Vienna puts blinkers on for this.
Kinsale King - Ran a better than looked race in last; second start off a 8-month hiatus could be better.
Long Shot - Overbid
Race 7 - 1 1/16th miles, $70,000 Paseana Handicap, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Victorina - Greg Gilchrist is one of the most underrated trainers in the sport; like Bejarano taking the call.
Double Trouble - Bobby Frankel mare has been a disappointment so far; this softer spot is a confidence builder.
Long Shot - You Lift Me Up
Race 8 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Motorboat - Claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; key for me is Bejarano jumps up and takes the call.
The Emerald King - Been knocking at the door, then disappointed up in NoCal;
Long Shot - Warrington
Best Bet - Cat Brulay (race 6)
Santa Anita Thursday- Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 19/4/$20.20; Long Shots, 10/2/$21.20; Best Bet, 1/0/$0
