Post Time 11:45 p.m.
Race 1 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up
Deep Pockets - Big effort in last off a 8-month hiatus; Bob Baffert baby has always been highly regarded, the one to beat.
Buck's Bro - Broke thru with a big race last time at inflated odds; was only a few feet the chalk, offers some value.
Long Shot - Spirit of Cochise
Race 2 - 1 1/8th miles (turf), Purse $32,000, Claiming $32,000, 4-year-olds and up
Like a Tiger - Reclaimed by John Martin, one of the strongest trainer angles; super consistent and at this class level.
Soupy - Speedball takes a big class drop for John Sadler; Tyler Baze is one of the best for nursing their energy.
Long Shot - Parko
Race 3 - 6 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Holladay Dixie - Carla Gaines cull drops to the bottom class rung in search of victory; should be able to crush these.
No Guessing - Much improved performance last time and from parking lot post 11; chance to step forward again.
Long Shot - Classic Demand
Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $13,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up
Rogue Scholar - Nothing like blazing speed in a cheap race, which may be a no passing zone affair; the one to catch.
Make Mine Vodka - The wins have come far and few between lately; he drops to the bottom where he may finally awaken.
Long Shot - Mi Rey
Race 5 - 6 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
Tevez the Tiger - Ran a cropper to a very good colt in Point Encounter; like that Rafael Bejarano has remained loyal.
Bridging - FTS from the red hot Mike Pupye barn; exits a bullet workout and was made a tepid morning line chalk.
Long Shot - Wall Street Wonder
Race 6 - 1 1/8th miles (turf), $500,000 Sunshine Millions Turf, 4-year-olds and up
Soldier's Dancer - Florida invader has blossomed into a nice turf horse; holds a class edge over the Cal-breds.
Icy Atlantic - Old veteran is just a cut below, but he's a solid paycheck earner; Eibar Coa can show his wares in SoCal.
Long Shot - Liberian Freighter
Race 7 - 6 furlongs, $250,000 Sunshine Millions Oaks, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Leigh McLovin - Her only lost was to a talented filly in Simplify; Ronny Werner has a good one, the one to catch.
Emmy Darling - She is the best Cal-bred in the field; turning back in distance, Bejarano will sit and make one run.
Long Shot - Hooh Why
Race 8 - 6 furlongs, $300,000 Sunshine Millions Sprint, 4-year-olds and up
Yesbyjiminy - I know he's talented, the key is his debut over synthetic surface; his 11-of-21 win mark speaks volumes.
In Summation - This horse loves the synthetic, but has run like he's lost a step; logical chalk but somewhat vulnerable.
Long Shot - Devoted Magic
Race 9 - 1 1/16th miles, $500,000 Sunshine Millions Distaff, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Unforgotten - Dead late closer figures to see a healthy pace up front; he's run with good ones and can handle these.
Leah's Secret - Tepid chalk in another impossible puzzle; tactical speed under Eibar Coa to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot - Annabill
Race 10 - 1 mile, Purse $52,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up
In the Woods - Like the rail post in a mile start; has tactical speed to establish good position, saves all the ground.
Throne of Power - Big U.S. debut for Patrick Biancone colt; the main question for me is whether he'll bounce to the moon.
Long Shot - Temple City
Race 11 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $52,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Comeback Queen - Why not end the day with a solid price; she clunkered in last, but her race two back was very good.
For Free - Any shipper from the Christopher Clement barn is worth a second look; like that Garrett Gomez takes the call.
Long Shot - Taste's Sis
Best Bet - Holladay Dixie (race 3)
