Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Maiden claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Kaffeinator - Lone speed is the best bet in horse racing; don't see anyone else who wants to go with him early.
Kerzner - Enough tactical speed to sit second or third behind the chalk; can pounce if the favorite isn't good enough.
Long Shot - Lucky No. Thirteen
Race 2 - 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
Monolingual - You have a big edge in seeing the action on the 5 FTS in the field; expect one or two to get bet.
Turk - He's burned enough of my money already; if he wins at 1/2 odds today, you can have him.
Long Shot - Sweet Maker
Race 3 - 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $48,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Tuscan Evening - Ran like she was in a race by herself; parking lot post and rail out 15 feet will both help.
Ashton Girl - Grinder style can be effective if she's not too far off the early pace; shown ability down the hill.
Long Shot - Precious Union
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $33,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
Valiant Effort - Good effort facing tougher last time down the hill; back on synthetics where he's been effective.
Masterly - Ran a better than looked race in last to be second; his race two back, if repeated, can upset these.
Long Shot - Steady Demand
Race 5 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $37,000, Claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
Tough Apples - Returns to her comfort level of $40K claimers; tactical speed to sit a good midpack trip.
Bootleg Annie - Tepid chalk on the rail is a NoCal shipper; she's won 9-of-16 on turf, so she's proven.
Long Shot - Welken
Race 6 - 6 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up
Exceeding - Chalk returns off a brief rest and a steep class drop; Bill Spawr is never afraid to drop and win.
Something Sonic - Speedball should clear this group early on; the key will be how slow Aaron Gryder can go.
Long Shot - Scottish Diamond
Race 7 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
Utahn - Slight edge in a wide open race; was claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer, expect improvement.
Vital Force - He's burn more money lately than a Brinks truck on fire; still he figures to be one of the ones.
Long Shot - Got Free
Race 8 - 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), $100,000 Crystal Water Handicap, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up
Seminole Native - Dead late closer figures to see an aggressive early pace to chase; value as he runs on late.
Bold Chieftain - Logical chalk loves the distance and is proven over sod; highweight gives 6-to-10 pounds away.
Long Shot - Lucky J. H.
Race 9 - 1 1/8th miles, $200,000 Sham, 3-year-olds
The Pamplemousse - Clearly the one to beat, Julio Canani has been bringing him along beautifully; Alex Solis Derby horse.
Ventana - He's been knocking heads with a lot of good ones to no avail; Bob Baffert adds blinkers on, interesting.
Long Shot - Smart Bid
Race 10 - 6 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, Fillies, 3-year-olds
Multitasker - Ran a winning race for this low class in debut; moves from post 2 to 11, but has speed to clear.
Juicy Lucy - Ran evenly in debut; like that Rafael Bejarano remains loyal to ride in this cheap maiden claimer.
Long Shot - Shadow Queen
